Background

Yujin is a research development professional with seven years’ experience in research development and management across five UK universities, four of them research-intensive Russell Group universities.

She began her career as a Research Hub Administrator, helping to coordinate a £3 million MRC-funded research programme tackling antimicrobial resistance. She then moved quickly into the research project management, overseeing multi-million-pound research grants with a combined value of more than £30 million. Working with well-established research centres and research development teams, she also helped develop multiple competitive, large-scale and international bids.

Yujin now works as a Research Development Advisor at a UK university, advising researchers on funding strategy and bid development. Grant Grove draws on her years of working alongside academics to choose the right opportunities, build the right teams and secure funding for their research.

Our approach

  • Start from how funders decide. Every piece of advice is tied to the funder’s published assessment criteria and rules.
  • Official sources only. Our tools and briefings link to the funder’s own documents, so you can check every fact.
  • Build capability, not dependence. We explain the reasoning behind our advice so you can apply it to your next bid.

Independence

Grant Grove Research Partners is independent of any funder or university. Yujin’s university role is kept entirely separate from this consultancy: we work from public funder information only, and never use confidential information from any institution.
